Have you been to Tanner’s Bar in Lenexa, KS.? I had to leave before Half-time started

I used to go to Tanner’s quite a bit back when I was single. It was a cool hangout for my friends and me to meet. The Tanner's I went to is on 87th Street in Lenexa, Kansas.

Tonight I met some friends and my family to watch the KU game. I made it to half before I had to leave. Before halftime I started smelling like smoke. I don’t smoke and most of the restaurants I go to anymore are non-smoking joints out in Olathe, Kansas. My wife and I try to keep the kids away from the dangers of smoke. On our way out, my wife didn’t smell the smoke like my kids and I did. In the car was a different story. The smoke overwhelmed all of us. My wife and I reflected about how many times we had been to Tanner’s and it had never affected us before tonight. I guess that is what old age and being away from the scene does to you. From now on, I’m going to frequent the non-smoking establishments in Olathe, KS.

Does the smoking establishments affect you?

Its a bar.... they sell drinks there as well, and then people get in their cars and drive home. But thats kinda like going to a bar and complaining people are drinking.

Good choice to find another spot. The odd part i thought was that you didn't want to expose your kids to smoke, but you will take them to a bar? Your choice, but odd conclusion.

Im guessing you would have thought that the person who would respond would agree with you. But I have lived in a lot of states that have been smoke free, and the hypocrisy of it, at this point, is obnoxious.
