Kansas City Mortgage Interest Rates Dropped Today!
If you haven't heard, the Fed dropped the interest rates 3/4 of a point. Typically when the Fed drops mortgage rates, the consumer mortgage interest rate is not affected. Typically, there is no change because the mortgage wholesalers have already anticipated the drop. Today; however, the wholesale lenders must have never anticipated the Fed drop.
I have had several lenders call me today and notify me of the mortgage interest rate drop. My lender told me that last week he was locking mortgages at 5 3/4%.
