Another Zero Down Mortgage Program Disappears: Another reason why Kansas City first time home buyers should not wait to buy a home this year.
The first thing I do when I start work is check my e-mails. I knew something was up when I had received dozens of e-mails from various mortgage professionals. I first opened my loan officer's e-mail. In his e-mail, he explained that the 103% loan program that he has been highlighting lately has tightened up. When I opened up most of the other emails they explained how loan programs have tightened and that many of the zero down programs have vanished. I even received a few e-mails from loan officer's and banks that they will not be offering a zero down loan program after 11/15/08.
If you are a Kansas City first time home buyer and you want to purchase a home and keep your money in the bank, you need to act quickly. My predictions from the resources I have is that zero down programs will be gone in a few months.
