Kansas City Real Estate Investor Says I Should Help Kansas City Real Estate Investors Steal Homes
Last night I received a strange real estate related phone call. Actually it was a series of phone calls. The caller hung up on me the first two times. I immediately called the number back and the recording said the number was out of service. The third time the caller in a deep voice asked is this Dowell Taggart, I responded with this is one of the partners, how can I help you? The caller hung up.
At this point, I'm trying to figure out what is going on. The fourth phone call from the caller came about 10 minutes after the third. The caller got very animated on the fourth phone call. The caller identified himself as an out of town Kansas City real estate investor. The caller said, "That I'm contributing to the ruining of the real estate market in Kansas City and that the only smart people buying real estate in Kansas City right now are real estate investors. Why I'm trying to get first time home buyers to buy homes." He went on to say that," I should focus my real estate business on helping real estate investors steal homes and find tenants for their properties."
After hearing this Kansas City real estate investor talk for over 15 minutes, I asked why he was really so upset. He said that two of his tenants gave notices to his manager on the first of December. He went on to say that I fed his tenants with lies that they can buy homes with zero down with a low interest rate and get up to a $7500 tax credit. He was upset that he would have to spend resources on finding tenants rather then buying more properties pre- foreclosures and short sales cheap.
Currently the real estate market in Kansas City is a Buyer's Market. It is a great time to buy a home in Kansas City because of the deflated home values, low interest rates and availability of great loan programs.
