We Learned Some Great Information at Today's Kansas City Network Group Meeting
The Kansas City Network Group is a non-compete business referral group that physically meets at Mimi’s Café every Friday. The sole purpose of the meeting is to pass referrals to each other. You build a network of trusted professionals you can count on referring to and you get referrals in return. It’s a win-win.
This week we learned some valuable information at today’s Kansas City Network Group meeting.
After doing our 60 second infomercials, Joe Mayhew from Waddell and Reed, gave a short presentation on his company and what he can do for consumers.
Ronnie Yarbrough, from Firstrust Mortgage, gave a presentation on what is going on with the mortgage market. Ronnie explained the $7500 First Time Home Buyer Credit and how it affects home buyers and the future loss of many of the first time home buyer programs. While most lenders are not doing 0 down loans anymore, Ronnie is one of less then a handful of lenders in Kansas City that still offers a true 103% LTV mortgage loan at prime rates. With certain borrowers he can also remove the monthly PMI insurance.
We also had a discussion on how the internet and most importantly, social networking, is changing our businesses.
