According to a recent stat I read this morning, it stated that 1 out of 5 burglars have already been in the home they are robbing. Typically not has a friend but as a service provider. They could be the HVAC tech, carpenter, carpet cleaner, painter, electrician or home remodeler. While they are doing work on the home they unlock a few windows or doors so they can come back later. If you are having work done on your home, check references.
After the work has been completed, check the door and window locks.
