Choosing the WRONG Olathe Real Estate Agent could COST you thousands!
This past weekend I received a phone call from a Olathe homeowner who chose another real estate agent to sell their home. I met this homeowner back in March and they were in a difficult short sale situation. They were not able to keep up on the mortgage payments and so they had to sell. Although they agreed that our marketing plan would give them more marketing exposure, they chose another real estate agent because they worked with them at their job and felt they would get a better deal. Although the part-time real estate agent, had less then 5 listings the past 3 years and had never done a short sale, the homeowner decided that the other agent would be a better fit.
Now it is five months latter and the homeowner needs help. The real estate agent who they chose to do business with had not completed the paperwork correctly and the short sale was not accepted by the lender. Now the homeowner is facing eviction. They received a letter from the sheriff regarding an eviction the next week. The homeowner called me to see if there was anything I could do. At this point, I told the homeowner, they need an attorney because they waited to long for anything I could do for them.
If you are potentially in a short sale situation in Kansas, contact a loss mitigation consultant or a real estate agent who has done several short sales. By hiring the wrong professional, you may end up in an eviction like this homeowner.
