According to the Heartland MLS Statistics, the number of homes for sale in Johnson County, KS. dips from 2,922 homes for sale in October, 2009 to 2,704 homes for sale in November, 2009.
Part of the drop in active homes for sale can be attributed to fewer homes listed. In October, 938 homes were listed and in November 647 homes were listed for sale.
Another reason for the dip in homes for sale in Johnson County is the time of year. Some sellers take their homes off the market and put them back on after the holidays.
If you are thinking about selling your home in Johnson County, remember winter home buyers are serious homes buyers. The area is coming off of very good selling months and I look for homeowners who have their homes for sale in December to reap some good financial rewards the end of the month and the first of January.
