Dear Mr. Dowell,
I hope you can help me Chris. I'm in a very bad situation and it is only getting worse everyday. I'm frustrated and the frustation is starting to affect my ability to work and run my family. I need to sell my Olathe home fast due to a job transfer. I listed it with the so called biggest real estate company in KC in August and have had very few showings. I have lowered the price to a very uncomfortable amount and feel like it is not working. I see homes all over my area selling and my home isn't even getting shown. What really made me boiling is when you listed and sold the $#@*&^^(name withheld) home.It was an inferior home and you sold it for a higher price.
Can you help me get out of my listing contract? I feel that my current real estate agent is not doing anything to sell my home. I feel that your marketing would help get my home sold. I notice your websites all over the internet.
Answer: First, I'm sure your agent is doing something. Your Olathe real estate agent will not get paid for marketing your home until it sells (unless you paid them upfront). The sad part is most Olathe real estate agents are putting their marketing resources and efforts in the wrong direction. It is probably true that you found my marketing all over the web because my team and I market on over 1500 websites. We understand that our Olathe clients want the best marketing possible and that they want their homes on Google.
Second, any home priced correctly should sell in Olathe. It is a great time to sell in Olathe with the first time home buyer tax credit, 2nd time $8,000 tax credit and mortgage interest rates still low.

If you honestly feel the way you do, I would recommend consulting an attorney. That is after having a meeting with your current Olathe real estate agent.
