The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department announced it will conduct a DUI sobriety checkpoint next week.
The checkpoint will be held May 6. The Overland Park police department didn’t release a location of the checkpoints but they did state that the checkpoints are being conducted with the goal of reducing alcohol-related auto crashes and discouraging drunken driving in Overland Park.
Looks like the City of Overland Park cares about its residents. I wonder if other cities in Johnson County will be conducting DUI checkpoints now that graduation parties will be popping up on nearly every street? Having lost a few friends and a couple family members to drunk driving, I applaud cities who are proactive in reducing alcohol-related accidents.
