Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm will honor the 150th anniversary of the Civil War on Thursday June 9th from 6-8 pm with a free Family Fun Night
Visitors can participate in a Civil War march and drill, learn about artillery and life in a Civil War camp and try their hand at "writing home" with a real ink pen. Visitors can also make a spy wheel or make a piece to take home in the blacksmith's shop. As always, visitors can see what's cooking on Mrs. Mahaffie's stove and try their skills at a variety of games typically played by children in the 19th century. Stagecoach rides around the site will be available; donations of $2 per person are suggested for stagecoach rides.
