Fireworks and Festivals:
1)
KC Riverfest on July 3rd and 4th with the fireworks display on the 4th at 10:05 pm. The festival is held at Berkley Riverfront Park in Downtown Kansas City.
2)
Corporate Woods Star Spangled Spectacular starts on the 4th with a free concert. Dubbed as the biggest fireworks display in Kansas City, this fireworks display is in Corporate Woods. Corporate Woods is just south of 435 and west of Antioch.
3)
Independence Fireworks Display at the Mormon Visitor Center is on the 4th of July. Due to very little parking, arrive early.
4) Smithville Marina Fireworks Display is held on the 4th at the Smithville Marina at dusk.

Parkville 4th of July Fireworks and Festival is held on the 4th. Despite the flooding, Parkville is moving on with their fireworks display. Park Hill South should be a great spot to watch this years fireworks display. A festival will be going on July 3rd.

Worlds of Fun will be hosting their fireworks display on July 4th.

Booms and Blooms Fest at Powell Gardens will be hosting their fireworks display on July 2nd.

Independence Day 19th Century Style at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm in Olathe, KS. on June 30th.

Legacy Blast Fireworks in Lee's Summit, MO. on July 1st at Legacy Park.
10)
Leawood 4th of July Celebration on July 4th. at the Leawood City Park.
11)
Fireworks and Salute to the Union at Ft. Leavenworth on July 4th at Merritt Lake.
12) The
Olathe, KS. fireworks display at the Great Mall of the Great Plains on the 4th of July.
13) Celebrate
Independence Day in Gardner, KS. at the Gardner-Edgerton High School on July 4th.
14) Fireworks Show in Lansing, KS. on July 4th at the Kenneth Bernard Community Park.

1) Checkout the new Sky Safari and Polar Bear exhibit at the
Kansas City Zoo.

Flags of Freedom American Flag Display in Merriam, KS.; as well as, the local festival. The festival and flag display are at the Merriam Marketplace on Merriam Drive.
3) Independence Day at the
Lanesfield Museum in Edgerton, KS.

Freedom Flings at the Thomas Soetaert Aquatic Center in Shawnee, Kansas. Contest all throughout the day on July 1st.

Lenexa Freedom Run and Parade on July 4th in the historic Old Town Lenexa.
6) Kansas City T-Bones vs. the Wichita Wingnuts on July 3rd & 4th at the
CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
7) U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America "Shades of Blue" Jazz Ensemble at the
Briarcliff Village.
8) Snoopy!!! Theatre for Young America at the
H and R Block City Stage Theater9) Les Miserables at
Theatre in the Park at Shawnee Mission Park.

Rainforest Adventure at Crown Center. This is a free event.
