When comparing the hot selling months of April through August of last year versus the same months this year, 29% fewer homes have sold this year. The good news is hopefully the end of summer real estate push during the end of August will get home sales closer to last year.
Last year, 164 homes sold between April to August of 2010. During April of 2011 through August 25th of 2011, 117 homes have sold.
Real estate sales in Gardner started off sluggish in April of 2011 with 22 homes sold. Home sales picked up 29 homes sold in both May and June. Sales then dropped to 19 homes sold in July. So far August sales are above July but lower than May and June. The positive outlook is most sales are recorded during the end of the month.
