Kansas University first hired Charlie Weis from Florida. Charlie negotiated a good salary for the assistant coaches. The first coach Charlie hires was Tim Grunnard from Bishop Miege in Roeland Park, Kansas. Tim was the head football coach of the Miege Stags and a former Kansas City Chiefs football player. My Gardner Trailblazer's have played the Stags a couple times over the last couple years and I think Tim did a wonderful job representing the Stags. I always liked his demeanor on the sidelines.
Now that Tim is headed to Kansas University, he may have had some pull to get Tre Parmalee. Tre Parmalee, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound receiver out of Bishop Miege High School, orally committed to the Kansas football team on Wednesday night.
Parmalee is the first commitment for new KU coach Charlie Weis. Parmalee picked KU after de-committing from Northern Illinois. Tim Grunnard is the first hired and Tre Parmalee is the first commitment for KU. I like the idea of getting some of the football talent from the area. This should be good to watch Tim and Tre on the KU sidelines, even though I'm a Kansas State Wildcat.

The unveiling of the first building on Kansas State University’s Olathe Innovation Campus on Tuesday drew state and local legislators, students, alumni and K-State and Kansas fans alike. Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, a 1979 K-State graduate and former student body president, was on hand, along with U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder, who is a KU alumnus and former student body president. Although the two traded jabs at the other’s alma mater, they were in agreement that it was a momentous occasion for K-State, Olathe, Johnson County and the state. “The competition and the collaboration is beautiful. And that’s what we need as a state. We compete, we collaborate,” Brownback said. “There are KU campuses here in Johnson County and K-State campuses here. … We grow, we grow together, we grow competitively, and we can do this as a state.”

The Kansas State Wildcats Moves on in the NCAA March Madness Tournament - Now K-State Plays Wisconsin
Last night if you’re like me and a big K-State fan you probably stayed up for the late Thursday night NCAA game to watch Kansas State play Utah State. Although Utah State had only 3 losses and were probably more deserving of a higher seed, K-State scored more points. With the help of Jacob Pullen and his supporting cast, the Wildcats defeated the Aggies 73-68.
Now the #5 Kansas State Wildcats will face the #4 Wisconson Badgers on Saturday in the Southeast Regional. The start of the game is expected to starts around 7:40 cst on TNT.

Last night the Kansas University Jayhawks overpowered Valpo. Tonight, the Kansas State University Wildcats slowly dismantled the #23 Virginia Tech Hokies. The Wildcats started slow, but ended winning 73-57. This year should be a good year for both the Jayhawks and Wildcats and if your're like me you have two dates circled on your calendar. The first date is when the Wildcats visit Lawrence and take on the Jayhawks on January 29th at 7:00 pm EST. On Valentines Day, the Jayhawks return the visit to Manhattan to take on the Wildcats at 9:00 pm EST. This year should be an exciting year in college basketball in the Sunflower State. I like college basketball and the Sunflower Showdown has always been special. I'll will still be rooting for my KSU Wildcats. RE/MAX sells more homes than any other real estate company. Pullen from Kansas State and Jordan from Xavier exchanged friendly words on the court. According to interviews, Pullen said that he was asking Jordan to stop making threes. Jordan jabbed back at Pullen asking him to stop making threes.
Unlike last years 6 overtime game when Syracuse and Connecticut went to many overtimes due to exhaustion and missing shots, this years greatest game involved some incredible shots.
Kansas State and Xavier made threes from all over the court. Not only were there threes, but there were some pressure cooker last second threes.
In my opinion, Buffalo Wild Wings fixed the game. Haven't you seen the commercial when a patron from Buffalo Wild Wings wants the basketball game extended and the bar tender presses a secret button and the game goes into overtime?
Whether the game is the greatest game or not, Kansas State needs to start preparing for the next game on Saturday at 3:30.
Saturday, Kansas State will battle Butler for the right to play in the Final 4.
Who do you think will win?
