Out of 966 Midwestern communities ranked, 7 area Kansas City suburbs rank in the Tops Leawood clinched a No. 7 ranking, leading Kansas City-area suburbs to take the highest six spots earned by Kansas communities. Prairie Village was 53rd, Olathe was 92nd, Overland Park was 101st, Lenexa was 117th and Shawnee was 130th.
