Y RCA is a horrible school.
i sent my son there for 4 years and when i took him out to send him to a public sckol i found out that the school is not accredited by the state. AS a consequence he had to take a pl;acement test in all key subjects he failed all of them. my son is a very smart boy he has always got straight a's so this upset me as he had to be a freshman instead of a sophmore

DANGER!
Do NOT go to this place!! A woman was raped here by an employee a couple of weeks ago. She has evidence but is afraid to go to the police.
I am not kidding and I am not a competitor. It just kills me that Joel got away with this!
If anyone else has been assaulted at this place, PLEASE come forward to press charges so he doesn't keep doing this to other vulnerable young women!!

Go chitty chat about your kitty cat
I was given a gift certificate to Willows, so I decided to check out all their cat products. I have two cats, one of whom has a regurgitation problem (which isn't fun to clean up!). The store owner was very forthcoming with information, and she gave me several free sample bags of cat food. I was very grateful for that, as it's very expensive to experiment with foods that might end up making the regurgitation problem worse! So, I ended up using the gift certificate to buy honeysuckle treats and toys, as well as a catnip blanket; but I will definitely go back to buy food once the kitties have picked a favourite sample. Considering the downtown location, I expected the prices to be much higher, but they're actually on par, if not cheaper, than other major pet retailers in the area. The owner is passionate about animals and loves to chat, so this is the place to go when you have time to browse and converse about your pets.

Passion for Pizza
A small but charming spot in Halifax's south-end, this place has a pizza for most taste buds. All their pizzas are personal size (9' inches) and on a thin crust base.
I had their chicken pizza which came with figs and provolone - very tasty. I also tried a slice of the peach and pork (an odd combo i know) which was suprisingly good. The warm potato & bacon side salad starter was excellent and very popular according to our server.
The cocktail drinks menu was also very interesting (try their Passion Fruit, Vodka, Basil and lime infused cocktail)...and all made with fresh ingredients.
I finished with their small caramel tart, topped off with a slight sprinkling of rock salt and cream - this was delicious. Service was excellent, friendly and knowledgable....a 5 stars for sure and didnt break the bank. I'll go again.

Thank you Pure Living Fitness!
I would like to share my experience at Pure Living Fitness with all of you. Three months ago I walked into this gym feeling a sense of desperation with my health and life. At 41 weighing 225 and feeling old and tired. I knew I had to make a change if I was to be around for my children. The staff at Pure Living made this a positive experience and applauded my courage for taking action. 40 lbs. less and 3 months later I see a different person in the mirror now and wonder how I got around everyday before. I am excited to see where I'll be by this summer.

Amazing Decor and Great Music
Rumfire is located in the Sheraton Waikiki. It is a great lounge to have a few drinks and enjoy the entertainment. Rumfire has an indoor and outdoor seating and depending on what your mood is you can either sit inside or out. I would recommend outside if you want to hear what your party is saying because the music is quite loud inside. Firepits adorn the inside and it offers a unique and beautiful sight. The food is also fantastic but remember that they only offer tapas. However, my husband and I ordered two tapas, mini chicken burritos and the braised beef nachos, and we were satisfied. The menu definately offers a mexican flare and most of the tapas are spicey. If you are looking for a lounge with a bit of energy this is the place to go.

Enjoy Pacific Fusion Cuisine right on Waikiki Beach
Dukes is located right on Waikiki beach and is located right beside the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. You can enjoy breakfast and lunch and dinner for a really great price. I have yet to eat dinner their but I have eaten lunch twice and have yet to be disappointed. I would recommend the fish tacos, a strip of mahi mahi will certainly make your mouth water. The prices are fantastic considering you are in Waikiki Beach where everything seems to be expensive. My husband and I had lunch and drinks for under $60.00. Highly recommended if you are in this area.

Do NOT Go Here!!!
They were supposed to do simple alterations and clean my wedding dress. When I came back to try on the dress, it fit me worse than before and the dress was snagged from her putting safety pins in it!?! After getting the dress back to take somewhere else, we found that she used dark blue thread to sew it, she cut away the extra material, and even cut a hole in the lining. It was a simple alteration and she ruined it! We had to purchase a new dress! Also the dress wasn't even pressed properly... the least she could have done was give me my money back! Save yourself the hassle and the money... go somewhere else!

Pasta Plus in Maryland
This restaurant has an impressive reputation and was recommended to us by friends at church, so we tried it for our Sunday lunch.
I decided on the bruchetta to start - which had large well seasoned chunks of tomato and my wife had the minestrone soup...all good so far.
I then ordered their vegetarian pizza and my wife ordered the calzone - also veggie.
The main dishes took way too long to come out and when they arrived they were cold - maybe they'd been left standing.
When we pointed this out to our server they didnt seem too interested in sympathizing with us.
Good food but the service wasn't the best :(

Outlet store with lots of merchandise
If you haven't been to this Salvation Army location, you might be in for a surprise. They sell everything from used clothing and accessories to books, CDs/DVDs, furniture (including new brand-name mattresses), household goods and appliances, and toys. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are cheap: I recently bought two shirts, two skirts, two books and several kitchen items for $26, all in excellent-to-new condition. Although the store is tidy, the aisles can be cramped at times, and the changerooms are small and a bit dirty, but otherwise this is a very well-run store.

Try the Brunswick Stew
So this place is apparently legendary in these parts - so we decided to give it a whirl.
I had the Brunswick stew - which was very tasty and I also had a nibble on my wife's ribs. Succulent and flavorful!
The mac 'n' cheese looked a little greasy - but apparently its the bomb.
We enjoyed BBQ1 and will go back when we are in Marietta....but its a bit of a drive from Stockbridge.

DO NOT USE TOM'S CONSTRUCTION! STAY AWAY!
I've had nothing but problems since using Tom's Construction for a roofing job at my home. I have been unable to get the permit closed from the city because work was not completed pursuant to the original contract, I had leaks within a year after the project was finished, and was charged bogus charges after the project was completed.
I have been unable to get them to make the repairs (in spite of the fact that my contract states a 5 year warranty). I had another roofing company look at it and they indicated the work of Tom's Construction was commercially unreasonable.
Fraudulent and dishonest business! Save yourself the time and go to a reputable business!

Fun, flirty and feminine
Hibiscus always has beautiful window displays, and eventually they lured me in. What a beautiful, trendy selection of women's clothing - items that I've never seen anywhere else in Halifax. They also have a nice section of bath items and giftware at the back - all very girly stuff. Some of the prices can be a bit high, and the changerooms could use a bit of updating (I'm not a behind-a-curtain kind of gal!), but otherwise this is a great addition to Spring Garden.

These guys are a joke.
They should have a negative rating on this site. We had 2 bathrooms gutted and redone by these 2 people and BOTH bathrooms leak, the drywall is terrible, the ceiling has lumps in them and, get this, Wayne Kelley signed his name to the ceiling in our main bathroom after painting it. The seams of everything, walls, crown molding, bathtub meeting walls, are all separating. He tried to blame this on us, saying maybe it's the product I'm using to clean with that causing the seals to leak. I use shampoo diluted in water (no chemicals) so you know that is not the problem. We are not over weight so he can't use that like he did when he told us about another job he did. "That the people were overwieght so the floor bowed from that". We have a 3 year warrenty with them, which Wayne Kelley told my husband he should just VOID, as if he had the choice once it was signed. He does not come back to honor his work when you have problems he doesn't want to deal with and even went as far as telling us he was in the hospital and could not come for 4-6 wks and would call when he was out. That was months ago and no phone call yet. I called the hospital and actually the other main one in the area as well and guess what (?)...no Wayne Kelley. I called everyday for two weeks. He lied to us. His work is such poor quality that using the work "quality" makes me feel like a hypocrite. Please save yourself the frustration of being ripped off and USE SOMEONE ELSE.....ANYONE. This job cost us thousands and thousands of dollars and now we have to hire another contractor to redo their work. The 2 who came by to look at the job actually laughed at the poor quality of work. I can only imagine that a few of these (good) other reviews are coming from friends and relatives, if not Wayne himself. He's a sketchy character and I wouldn't put it past him. We will not allow him to enter our house again. This guys a joke

Busy spot with a live band
I went here at dinner time on a Friday. It took a while to get noticed by a waitress, but the service was reasonable given how busy it was.
I liked the live band that was there; not sure who they were. Music was Great Big Sea-style.
A couple of the people I was with wanted the 25 cent wings, but that special didn't start until 7:30 (I think). They were also out of sweet potato fries which made me sad. :(
I had the roasted vegetable sandwich, I didn't like the sauce too much (too much vinegar?) but other than that, it was good. Bread was very soft!

I read the review before this one. I must say I dont agree. We got a BBQ Chicken Pizza on thin crust. The sauce was unique and wonderful. Better than Minski's. Maybe the last couple should try thin crust? My husband orders all meat and claims it to be great and to be expensive ingredience. We will and have come back several times. Next Time I'll Do It Myself!
Next Time, DIY and Save the Money!
Having a few problems with my 3 year old desktop, I called KS from Nerds in a Flash, on the recommendation of a friend. KS poked around and announced I needed a hard drive reformat. I've done them before myself, and they are a pain, especially reinstalling all the application software. So I asked, will you reinstall all the software? Oh sure, he said. I had him check my backup on an external hard drive, to make sure everything was backup up that we would need to restore the system after reformat. He assured me again. When he returned three days later, he couldn't reinstall Thunderbird with my old email files. He told me I shouldn't use Thunderbird, that it did nothing but cause problems. I now understand this to mean, "I don't know how to work with Thunderbird." He told me he had neglected to have me backup a file essential for reinstalling Thunderbird, and asked if he could take back the tower, do an undelete and salvage the file. I agreed, and three days later he returned again. After over an hour of messing with it, he still couldn't get my old email files to access from Thunderbird, so he set them up as text files that I could access separately. When he was set to leave, I tested a few things, like outgoing email, and found that did not work. It took another hour and a call to my email server company for him to get it to work. Despite the promises of installed software, he didn't even install the applications from disks provided. I've spent a significant amount of time over three weeks fixing problems, reinstalling applications and updating software. Next time, I'll simply do it myself and at least then I won't have to pay for the privilege.

Robert Schor is an exceptional therapist.
Robert is well known throughout the North Shore for being a highly compassionate, empathetic and responsive therapist who is always there for his clients. He has remarkable insight into his clients' feelings and experiences and is able to link them back to their childhood-and he is as funny as he is kind. I cannot imagine a better therapist. Mixed Experience
Being from Chicago and not knowing where to eat in Manhattan I asked a co-worker for a bite on the upper east side.
The service was unfriendly and bordering rude, but i blew this off as 'typical New York attitude.
I ordered the white pie with ham, peppers and onions and it was delicious and so huge i took half of it back to my hotel room to eat later one.
The place wasn't the cleanest spot I've been too (bathrooms were dirty) but the food was decent.

Friend recommended this place....
So I'm not a fan of Brooklyn - nasty place in truth...but my friend suggested I try San Remo Pizzeria.
It turns out the food was pretty good...I went for their broccoli and spinach which was actually pretty good...and of course would have been twice the price in Manhattan. My buddy had the veggie slice, which was topped off with heaps of veggies.
Anyways, they would have got 4 or 5 stars if they werent located in the 'hood. I'd definately go again if I was on the wrong side of the water.

But that doesn’t mean this group — who own the majority of the nation’s businesses — doesn’t have serious concerns around the margins, think the U.S. economy will return to world dominance or plan to go on hiring binges.

Cosy pub in Halifax
It's an odd but interesting place, mixed with old furniture and paintings. The actual bar is weird though, because you can't actually get to it due to an intermediate bar being in the way. The menu is not bad, wings are so so. Nice place to chill with people.

Dr. Friedman is a wonderful dentist.
Our family has always been impressed with Dr. Friedman's knowledge, patience and skill. We have been extremely satisfied for 32 years. I have recommended him to many others and they have been just as pleased with the care provided by Dr. Friedman and his capable office staff. When my two sons were young, there were never had any difficulties when it came time for their dental appointments. My 32 year old son still lives in town and Dr. Friedman continues to be his dentist. He has gone out of his way to accommodate our family when we have had dental emergencies.

Kids Birthday Parties Halifax, NS
Good party spot! But not very 'organzined'
My son had his birthday party at the Putting Edge this year. Though the kids had a blast, I really believe they could organize everyone a little better before tee off time. The problem is they try to cram too many birthday parties together all at once. This leaves the arriving party folks scrambling in the arcade room trying to keep the kids together. This is not as easy as it sounds.
On the flip side, the glow in the dark golf was a hit. The personal party host that helps out with the party is a nice touch. I'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has had the same experience.

Magical
The Hotel del Coronado (or ‘Hotel Del’ for short) is a magical old hotel right on the ocean. When I say magical – I mean magical – because it looks like a castle from a fairytale.
We only stayed for one night, but wished it could have been more as we truly fell in love with the place. The rooms were beautifully appointed and charming.
The spa was also superb (I had a facial) and the staff were excellent. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. “Yah” for the Hotel del Coronado!!

Good Steak
I tried Gibson’s for dinner for the first time after many recommendations from colleagues and family.
It struck me that the reason for Gibson’s success was that it was an ‘old school’ style decor steakhouse; with the “real deal” in terms of their selections in steak (t-bone, porterhouse, filet mignons, sirloins and a ‘WR Chicago cut). The selection was large.
The service we had was efficient and friendly, but a little rushed – they are clearly a very popular spot and trying to cater to as many customers as they can.
All in all the service and food was excellent – and I’d prefer this place over a larger national chain steakhouse such as Mortons. I also hear that they are opening a spot in Oak Brook too.

Soccer stuff in Halifax
I've been using Soccer Pro for years now and find that they are the best spot in the Halifax area for soccer supplies.
My boys like their selection of cleats and clothing. They can be a little pricey on some of the higher end cleats (adidas, puma, nike, umbro) but the selection is second to nobody.
I managed to find some Puma 'King' turf shoes here, but they didnt have my size. However, they shipped them in for me in less than a week.

Great Sushi in Halifax
Arriving at Hamachi last week around 7, we were greeted with a wait which is more than understandable considering it was their busiest time. After about 30 minutes, we were seated. It took another 20 minutes for our drink orders to be taken while other tables that were seated after us had already put in their orders.
Despite the service, the sushi was excellent - being very fresh, non fishy and tightly packed. Their lobster rolls in particular were superb.
By the time we left, it was around 10, so if you go around 7, be prepared to stay for quite a while.

Delightful Breakfasts
The Green Eggplant has an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Great for the 20 something crowd especially with nasty hangovers. They have huge plates that are really reasonably priced (the 3 eggs/bacon/sausage dish is like $8, and a delicious steak and eggs is only $12) and they make amazing Caesars, Bloody Marys and Bellinis. Great spot and it's always busy on the weekends, even in the summer when patios are open (this place doesn't have one).

Expensive
Completely agree with krystian's review. They have a huge collection of good bikes but are very expensive i went to idealbikes when I was looking to buy a bike but came out empty handed, found a good bike a cyclesmiths on quinpool. If you are looking for a cheap a reliable bike Walmart or Costco will be better bet (Less than $300 sometimes even $100 compared to $1000 in bike stores).

Horrible service!
After they flashed my phone I discovered all of my pictures on my phone and most of my phone numbers were gone. I called and was told they would talk to their tech and call me back first thing in the morning because they had left for the day. After calling them 3 times and finally getting ahold of them they had no idea what I was talking about so had to call me back. When they did they informed me there was no way to get anything back because the tech hadn't saved it to their computer and this happens with flash phones. No one EVER told me this before I got the thing flashed or I would not have allowed it. Then I had to take the phone back two separate times because they didn't program it right each time. And their demeanor towards this whole mess was as if I was being a nuisance. As a first time customer to Cricket I am VERY disappointed with this store and refuse to go back to them.

Old favourite
I've been to Clydes in Georgetown many times - but bumped into the Clydes in Reston, Virginia and decided to grab some lunch.
Had the breaded cat-fish on a bed of rice, covered in shrimp etouffee. It was spectacular - just as the waiter had predicted.
Clydes also have many domestic and European beers. I washed my cat-fish down with a Murphy's Irish Stout. Good eats and a good atomosphere!

Big City Restaurant in a small town!
So I was home for the Holidays and was shocked to find this place. I mean I've heard all about it but I didn't expect it to live up to the hype.
The Black Spoon is awesome! I can't believe this place is in my hometown of all places. My wife and I went for lunch and we both ordered a soup and sandwich. The sandwich specifically was the best I've ever had. I can't believe I'm evening say that. If you ever happen to be in North Sydney for some strange reason make sure you visit this place.

Great Pizza with Perfect Ingredients
Gatsbys came from Columbus so Ohio State fans already know how good it is. But Naples folks haven't found out yet. Do I tell you how good and not get a seat the next time I go? This definitely ranks near the best in Naples or Bonita. Tucked away in a strip center -- hard to find but worth the trip! Enjoy.

Or a giant Philly Cheese Steak with all the right accoutrements: peppers, mushrooms, various cheeses and perfect steak! The turkey is real turkey that was pulled from a roasted Turkey made in house! Melt in your mouth steaks
Went here with friends recently and wasnt disappointed. I went for the filet (good sized steak) with the aged bleu cheese sauce.
The appetizer was a delicious seafood soup packed with scallops, fish and shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium/rare) and came with roasties! We also ordered sides of baked onions, spinach and mashed potato.
I can see why they moved to a larger location on Wilson Boulevard - the place was packed with happy steak connoisseurs...I'd go again for sure.

this place is awaful!!! don't waste ur $!
My husband and i went to this club last night for new years - we spent $150 to get in. The reviews said that it was a good place to dance - NOT TRUE. The music was awful it was over packed - you would think when they charge so much there would be some crowd control but no. It was dark and cramped - people kept bumping into us all night. we would have left sooner but i wanted to get my moneys worth. I wish we had left. My husband and i went to a corner to talk. Maybe it was because he is black - a bouncer came up from behind and put his hands on my husband for no reason. He did not identify himself as a bouncer nor did he ask us to leave. When my husband asked for personal space they guy grabbed him. He did not resist, he was not loud or drunk yet 5 guys jumped in and attacked my husband. We were NOT DRUNK and did not cause any disturbance. We are school teachers and don't behave inappropriately in public. I have never been treated like this before. After all the many times my husband and i have gone out dancing this has never happened to us before. I believe they were racist - if they wanted us to leave they could of said so - it was unnecessary! I lived in NYC for yrs and never spent so much money for such a crappy dance party. People were practically having sex on the dance floor and no real dancing was going on - this was probably again due to the really lame music. When they advertised the classics i thought i would hear dance music. Bad DJ, Bad atmosphere, Bad staff, small cramped dance space. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not reccomend this bar - it is not a club don't believe the hype.

Top Boutique Hotel
After being diverted to Moncton in a winter storm I needed somewhere to stay in Moncton.
The taxi driver suggested the Hotel St James on Church Street in downtown Moncton.
This is a tiny 10 room boutique hotel with a great bar/restaurant (St James Gate) in the same building.
The room was modern, stylish and very cosy. I'd definitely give this hotel another try when in Moncton. At $129 p0er night is was also cheaper than the Crowne Plaza and the Delta Hotels in Moncton.
