We haven't stayed at the Inn, but we visited the patio at Lane's for lunch (they also have a pub area and dining room to choose from). Two of us had the haddock burger, which was perfectly cooked - a thin but crispy batter over flaky fish. Our other guest tried the chicken pesto panini, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Each of these came with a side dish, so we tried the potato skins (which were cooked on very thin potato slices, not the usual chunky peel), their signature spinach salad (which was a little salty for our personal tastes, but had an excellent mix of ingredients, especially candied pecans), and the chowder. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding with orange and brandy sauce, and an ice cream sundae with all the trimmings. It sounds like we ate a lot, but the portions were just right -- not heaping or overflowing, but appropriate for lunch, with side dishes coming in little bowls that had enough for everyone to sample. Everything was fresh and delicious, the prices were excellent, our waiter was attentive, and the view of the Mersey River was lovely. We also stopped into their Gourmet Shop and Bookstore, which had some unique items. This is definitely the place to dine in Liverpool!

I contacted 4 general contractors via email and within a short time (around 10 min), Shawn (My Guys Remodeling) called me directly to discuss scope of work and set up time to come out. To date (over a week ago), he was the only contractor to respond to me which is one of the reasons why I'm writing this review. Not only was he quick to get back to me, he answered general questions and set up a time to come see the home we anticipated purchasing, hence needing some work done before we moved in. Shawn is flexible, professional and I highly recommend My Guys Remodeling.

I got my nails done and within 10 days they started to chip, break and look like I needed a new fill. By the time I got to go back to the Salon its been less than 2 weeks and when I got there they kept saying it was my fault they chipped and that I need to pay for a brand new fill! It hasnt even been 2 weeks and I need a new fill? I never need a fill unless its been 3 to 4 weeks. When I asked for them to fix the specific nails that look awful they said I can contact their technician personally to fix my nails! Who gives out their own staff phone numbers? Then they advised she no longer works for them and that I have to deal with her directly? How is that possible since I went into their salon to get my nails done - I didnt go to her house! They wasted my time and offered no such help. I have never dealt with such unprofessional service in my life. Don't ever go its not worth your time or money.

Lack of compassion, tact, supervision, quality of care.
I visited Koch-Stigge Veterinary clinic in Harrisonville, Missouri after relocating from another state. Tigger, my 15 year old cat's health had fallen faster than we could handle. He had over the past year become unhappy and uncomfortable. After much thought, we decided it was in my cats best interest to no longer suffer. His quality of life wasn't what it should be, and he was suffering and uncomfortable.
My mother-in-law and I entered a near empty vet clinic for my 2:15 appointment, and a long time after, was greeted by Dr. Koch himself. He was wearing filthy mud/manure covered blue jeans and a flannel shirt. Not the clean sanitary attire you would expect a vet to be wearing for the evaluation of sick animals. I explained to him through sobs of Tigger's condition, and after evaluating my cat, agreed Tigger was having major repository issues and that my cat was having much difficulty breathing. His breathing was minimal and labored. I told Dr. Koch that I didn't want my cat to suffer any more. His way of communicating the euthanasia procedure to me came off in the style of "Just another day in the office."
I asked him if there was any extra measures of showing Tigger compassion through the process, and he told me sedating him before would make the experience for him the most tolerable. I write this compassionately, but I assure you, he was not. I informed him that I couldn't bear to be present. He agreed and left to prepare. I said my good-byes, told Tigger I loved him, and tried to comfort him. Dr. Koch came back in the room, grabbed Tigger and administered the sedative before my cat could protest. Before I had an opportunity to say anything. He said "This will make him fall asleep" and hurried out of the exam room. I was shocked; this was after I told him I did NOT want to be present. Now I know it was just a sedative, but I was already emotionally distraught and couldn't handle process in general. I started sobbing and told my mother-in-law that I couldn't believe he had done that. After I had asked not to see it, and that it wasn't right.
What happened next I could have never mentally prepared myself for. While the doctor was out of the room the medication caused nausea and my cat, who already had trouble breathing, began suffocating on his own vomit. My mother in law started screaming for someone, and moments later a tech came in the room. I was hysterical. This was supposed to help him, yet it was literally suffocating him, causing more stress, pain, and discomfort. My mother-in-law pleaded with me to leave the room, that I didn't need to see him pass away like that, because I didn't want to see it in the first place. I ran out of the vet in hysterics.
The experience was horrific, for my cat, and me. I will forever be traumatized. Dr. Koch should have considered that when a sedative was administered, it would complicate his already impaired ability to breath. He should have chosen a nausea free sedative. It shouldn't be left to the pet owner to consider these terrible odds on their own, under the stress of grief and without any training to help them know better. An extremely ill cat should not be abandoned by the vet at the beginning of sedation so they can go and attend other things, regardless of the crying pet owner that may be making them uncomfortable.
There must be better consideration to those who enter this vet, for pets and pet owners. In a time that an owner must end a journey with a pet that they had as a child, tended to every day, loved and cherished for 15 years, the vet shouldn't feign compassion, but genuinely feel that. Vets enter the business because they have compassion for animals, and want to help the pets. I understand death is an unfortunate part of their experience at work, but I imagine their schooling provides the training to deal with such things. Be more considerate to the animals you treat. Don't leave a pet owner alone after administering any medication. Consider all odds of what effect the medication will add to an animals condition. If a pet owner is crying and emotions make you uncomfortable, suck it up, and show a little compassion to the animal, and to the person who is losing a beloved friend.

I didn't care for the decor or atmosphere of the restaurant, but the food and view were definitely worth the visit. I opted for fish & chips, and the batter was perfect - not too thick, with just the right amount of crispiness. Other members of our party enjoyed the surf & turf and scallops, and everyone seemed pleased with their meals... and the prices! The waitress was friendly, and even recommended a couple of stores for us to visit in the area. At night, it seems this place turns into a dance/bar, and there's also a private room for functions. It's definitely spacious, but the interior could use some updating to make it feel more welcoming.

First off, Crescent Street in Montreal has the best Restaurants in the city. There are so many fancy restaurants to choose from and the variety of cuisines is stellar.
So if you want Pasta go here. This place is massive but don't let that stop you if you're trying to avoid a crowd. The vibe is great and the decor is wonderful. The portions you receive are way to big. It's Pasta for a King! Oh..btw. The bread that they give you when you first arrive is amazing.
This place is a lot of fun!

I dropped of an antique tractor/mower for repair & not only did they not fix it, they THREW IT AWAY!! For months I was in contact with these people both by email & by phone. My last conversation was to tune it up & change the drive belt, call me when it's done, I'll pick it up. Understanding it takes time to get parts for a 1967 Simplicity 707, I didn't nag them. NEVER did I imagine they would throw my little tractor in the scrap pile!!! Not when they had both my ph# (phone is on me 24/7) & email address. Absolutely horrible, I was in tears. I wouldn't let them even look at anything you value. No compassion either, they didn't care at all. They wouldn't even give me their last names. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! I gave it one star because it wouldn't take it with no stars.

Like the previous reviewer, I too have had bad experiences at this Applebee's in the past. But I decided to give them another try this weekend, and was pleasantly surprised. Both the hostess and the waitress were prompt, friendly and helpful, and all our meals were prepared quickly and tasted delicious. We all agreed that we'd like to go back again to try some new items, as there's now a "green apple" logo beside menu items that are less than 550 calories, which is something that appeals to me. Hopefully the service and food will continue to meet or exceed my expectations.

We recently stayed in Kingston, Ontario, and asked our hotel staff to recommend the best local restaurant. That's how we came to Lucy's! Our steaks were absolutely fantastic, and the side dishes were fresh and flavourful (as was the wonderful homemade bread). The restaurant has great service and atmosphere, and the prices are affordable. It was nice to have something akin to a homecooked meal, as we'd been travelling for a few days, and we felt very comfortable at Lucy's.

We went to Louly's for the first time yesterday, at the home of the former legendary Spartan Restaurant. We weren't sure what an Egyptian menu would include, so we simply asked the waiter to recommend the most popular and traditional dishes. We ordered the Koshary (a combination of rice, lentals, macaroni, fried onions and spicy sauce), and the Shakshouka (fried onions, tomatoes, chickpeas, jalapeno peppers and eggs, which was layered almost like a lasagna). The Shakshouka also came with fried potatoes, but not the typical way you'd expect - these were finely sliced and flat, and very tasty. We shared the dishes between us, which also came with salad and a light homemade dressing, and we enjoyed the different tastes and textures.
Because we were the only customers (which was a little surprising at suppertime on a busy street), the family/owners watched Egyptian shows on the television, but they still paid us sufficient attention. We will definitely go back and try other items, as the fish and chicken dishes sound very good, and we noticed a traditional dessert on the way out that looked delicious. Overall, it was a good first experience.

The new market has only been open for a week, so I'm trying to keep an open mind. I'm hoping that when the retail space and additional vendor spaces are completed, there will be lots more room on the main floor, especially between the aisles. Despite that, there's always a great mixture of products - food, crafts, clothing, jewellery etc. - and an equally eclectic mix of people! Lovely view of the harbour and George's Island too.

I purchased a $50 gift certificate (which is a written piece of paper at this location) and lost it within an hour. I went back and the employee said I can't help you because the owner has taken the book with the yellow copy of the certificate. I asked for the owners name and contact and she refused to give it. I asked for her name and she pretended like she didn't understand the question. I asked her to take my name and phone number, she refused. After a week of calling the store mulitiple times a day the owner finally answered and offered to replace it. We arranged for a time to meet and he wasn't there. I went through the same thing with the employee again, and now its been 2 weeks and never heard back. Disgusting. Just so they can put the $50 in their pocket. I have tried to email them twice and both emails were sent back, failed to send. What a great way to run a business.

I was totally panicked when my 2 year old tv died at 2 in the morning. After reading several negative reviews of several tv repair companies, I was daunted by the task of finding a reputable company to come and repair my beloved television. I spoke with Samsung (the manufacturer of my tv) as well as other local and national companies in addition to toronto computer repair service got back to me first (I left a message at 2am and they called me at 9am that same day) and had someone at my apartment within 2 hours. In addition, after I described the problem, they quoted a repair price over the phone, which was less expensive than the other quotes I received subsequently. Only later did I find out that they had (thoughtfully) given me the in-shop (not onsite) labor price...saving me $85! The technician was professional and quick and happily I'm already back to normal. I would HIGHLY recommend toronto computer repair service!

5 stars up! If you're reading this, look no further. These guys are great. Locked out of my apartment, I found them on Yelp. After a brief conversation on the phone, he met me at my place 20 minutes later and it took him about 8 seconds to open my door. Unable to find my keys in my apartment, he replaced the lock and gave me a new set of keys. Everything cost less then what i expected. this is one number i intend to keep on my speed dial - just in case this happens again. Thanks so much for a great service.

I will definately go back and become a client closer to retirement.

The nice saleswoman helped me pick out a really beautiful centerstone for a three stone diamond ring. She wasn't pushy, she was very informed, and she was most importantly, extremely helpful. The finished product was a yellow gold three stone ring- three round brilliant diamonds. It's beautiful and the price was unbeatable.
