Pets in the Park will be on May 22nd from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is provided with support from The Kiwanis Club of Independence, The Examiner, D.O.G. Post Offices Open Late

Today is the last day that most people have to file their taxes. If you are not ready to file your federal individual income tax return by the due date, you may be able to get an automatic 6-month extension of time to file. To do so, you must file Form 4868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Income Tax Return by the due date for filing your calendar year return (usually April 15, Today!!) or fiscal year return. However, you still have to pay the IRS by the due date. In another word, an extension of time to file your return does not grant you any extension of time to pay your tax liability.

Meadowmere Park Easter Egg Hunt

The Meadowmere Park Easter Egg Hunt is on April 3rd in Grandview MO. Children ages 2 - 10 years, accompanied by a parent or guardian will love this annual egg hunt. Grandview children have been hunting eggs for 36 years! The Easter Bunny hops into town to lead the hunt for treats and goodies for all. The hunt begins promptly at 10:30 am. (Remember to bring your Easter basket.) This is a free Easter event for kids to enjoy.
