• Great Wolf Resorts bidding war ends

  One of the bidders for the operator of Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, Kan., is bowing out. KSL Capital Partners, which has been in a bidding war with affiliates of Apollo Global Management to acquire Great Wolf Resorts Inc. (Nasdaq: WOLF), said it didn't plan to make any more offers, according to a late Friday release from Great Wolf Resorts.   The parent company of the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, Kan., is selling to a New York-based investment management firm. On Tuesday, Great Wolf Resorts Inc. announced a definitive agreement to sell to Apollo Global Management LLC (NYSE: APO) for $703 million, including the assumption of outstanding debt.
