
Perceptive Software has gained a new division after its parent company scooped up a Virginia company for $148 million in cash.
The transaction brings Shawnee-based Perceptive to 1,140 total employees. It also helps Perceptive pick up roughly 110 new customers, including The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS), Shell and The Mayo Clinic.
