 Google Inc. announced Wednesday that it plans to expand its fiber network to a third city: Provo, Utah.
In a blog post, Google Fiber General Manager Kevin Lo said it was drawn to Utah because of its hundreds of startups and tech companies, as well as its reputation for being one of the top places to live and do business in the United States.

 North Kansas City will lease its LINKCity fiber-optic data network to Google Fiber. The City Council approved a 20-year agreement Tuesday worth $3.2 million.

Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell confirmed that the expansion of Google Fiber (Nasdaq: GOOG) on Thursday morning during a combined city-Google announcement.
