"The fabric of our lives".... Our Credit Scores?

Wow.

Where we live and how we live....What drives us? Are we, each of us, the sum total of our credit scores? These scores affect our ability to rent a car, acquire and keep property and casualty insurance...open a bank account...and for 32% of all employers, the ability to choose the "best" candidate for the job. (?)

Mortgage reform, led by appraisal reform, is now followed by credit card reform....

According to USAToday, the Senate gave the House permission to work on a bill that would limit credit card companies' ability to raise lending rates without providing a clear cut understanding of why the rates were raised, and how to return to a lower rate at a future time....

President Obama requested this action, and is therefore expected to sign this bill into law....Opposition states that more than 5,000 people may lose their jobs....Well, so what?

Their employers are engaging in predatory practices....Not the employee's fault, and it affects us all...millions of us, on a daily basis. Should we do what's right and lose a few jobs? Uh, yeah.

Unfotrtunately, cotton has been replaced by your credit score as "the fabric of our lives"....

....From time to time, we come across others who impact our lives in a positive way, and unles you live on the Moon, you are aware our mainstream media rarely reports "good news"....I am not referring to Pollyanna News....Cake eating contests, modern art built with matchsticks, or "....man-eating dog subdued without harm by smiling animal control officer"....no.

I met Tobi when I hired him to come to work at a small, local technology company....Highly entrepenourial in nature, this family-owned company was a study in quick movement and interesting decision-making styles....Nonetheless, great character and ethical position were exhibited by owners and co-workers alike.
